Indigenous people for thousands of years have sustained sophisticated systems of governance and democracy. The vast diversity of tribal nations across Turtle Island reflect hundreds of forms of societal structures from the clan systems, to tiospiye relations, and even farther south, massive ancient cities with complex infrastructures that was unparalleled to even the Roman Empire. We are naturally organizers, scientists, artists, and leaders, including involvement in the present day political sector. There are many things we are fighting for as Native people. This group is a way to inform our leaders of what are the current political issues affecting our people and opportunities to engage in a way that advances the lives of the 7th generation.
